One and a half years ago, we joined forces with the joinery workshop Gil & Ruiz. What successes have we been able to celebrate and what synergies have been strengthened since then? We review the past months with Jürg Schwarz, CEO Habegger AG and Chairman of the Board of Gil & Ruiz AG, and José Ruiz, Managing Director and co-owner of Gil & Ruiz AG.

We have already successfully implemented countless projects together over the past 20 years. The best joint project since Habegger took a stake in Gil & Ruiz AG? Both look at each other and agree, “the internal kick-off of Swiss Life Asset Manager”. The digital event was a very complex project with a unique stage design where both companies worked hand in hand. “The beauty of this assignment was that the collaboration moved onto an even higher level of partnership,” says José. The Gil & Ruiz team works closely with various Habegger competencies, such as Creation, Event Technology, Project Management and Construction. It is an encounter as equals, a mutual commitment.
Both companies benefit from the partnership: Skills are exchanged, expertise grows steadily, and implementing capacity and feasibility also reach another level. “I have got to know José in a new way: as a passionate carpenter who makes the impossible possible,” Jürg explains. The cooperation enables the Gil & Ruiz joinery workshop to access additional business management structures:

As a result, the two service providers are merging even more closely and growing stronger together entrepreneurially.

In addition, the joinery workshop not only works with wood, but also with metal, glass and steel, among other things, which makes Gil & Ruiz’s portfolio of services even more diverse. “Everything can be produced, from A-Z,” says José. It is an interplay of traditional craftsmanship and modern materials.
José and Jürg look forward to a successful future.
Gil & Ruiz has been a subtenant of Habegger for around 20 years, which favours a successful partnership. The exchange among staff is efficient and uncomplicated. The regular meetings are a highlight for everyone. In the conversation with José and Jürg, eagerness to accomplish even more together is clearly apparent. For the future, both companies want to create further synergies through the diversity of materials used, through internal expertise, but also by merging warehouse logistics. Jürg adds: “This is healthy economic growth, and as a part of it we also aim to double the workshop area.” Profitable aspects for José are the support and the valuable transfer of expertise. “We get great respect and helpfulness from the whole Habegger team.” It means José can focus more on strategic direction, developing the joinery workshop and expanding his team.
Our team will continue to diversify in future, too, as we are always on the lookout for exceptional talented individuals for live communication. José is also looking for personalities with enthusiasm for the craft for his carpentry workshop.
