Habegger AG is celebrating its 40th anniversary and is looking back on a successful history. Since its foundation in 1983, the company has developed into an international full-service provider in the live communications sector and it implements projects in the events and experience space sectors throughout the world. In physical, digital and hybrid formats.

“Hurricane” – the name says it all

The “Hurricane disco” was the birth of the Habegger company, whose founder, Peter Habegger, then began to sell his self-built loudspeakers and to rent them out as well. This new business model met with huge approval and this enabled the visionary Habegger to profitably expand his activities, which layed the foundations for Habegger AG’s successful history.

 

 

Success in the market for 40 years

Over the last four decades, Habegger AG has realised numerous national and international projects and has made a formidable name for itself within the live communications industry. Habegger is part of the “Live Matters Group” and, together with its sister companies Satis&Fy and Habegger Austria, now has around 700 employees. The company also provided the technical equipment for the Asian Games Doha 2006 in Qatar and lead the realising of the Jura World of Coffee, the Olympic Games in Turin 2006 and the Ice Hockey World Championship 2009. Major events such as the opening ceremony of the Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, several FIFA congresses and general meetings and corporate events for various listed companies are also part of the company’s broad portfolio. Habegger has also continuously developed its range of services. In addition to providing classic event equipment, Habegger also plays a leading role in the conceptualisation and creation of content sectors, scenography and sequence planning as well as providing overall project management for fixed and temporary installations and event construction projects.

To mark its anniversary, Habegger AG celebrated with a wonderful party in the company premises in Regensdorf last Thursday, 29.06.2023, together with its staff and freelancers as part of a «Last-Thursday Hurricane-Special». “We wanted to celebrate our 40th anniversary in a fitting manner and thank all of our staff and freelancers for their unceasing commitment to achieving our objectives”, said Simon Ackermann, Chairman of the Board of Habegger AG.
