Having opened the “House of Läderach” Visitor Centre in Bilten in November 2020, Läderach has created a world of experience that inspires customers and visitors alike. Each visit offers a glimpse behind the scenes of the Swiss family business and provides interesting information about its origins and the variety of its products.
Läderach’s aim and requirement was to immerse visitors in the world of a “Fascinating Chocolate Experience”, while conveying brand values with all the senses. Exhibits were built and interactions established precisely for this purpose. Among other things, Habegger created a faithful replica of a wooden hut used in cocoa cultivation in Costa Rica. It houses a cinema that provides a “pura vida” feeling in Glarnerland thanks to audio-visual communication. Among the many interactive highlights are a shipping container with harbour sounds and an eight-metre-wide replica cookie wall that looks like a tube, this giving visitors the impression they are watching chocolate being produced.
Habegger was commissioned to design and implement all the custom-made products and technology in the exhibition’s eight rooms. For the complex visitor centre, for example, 28 screens and 31 media players were installed, which are centrally controlled by a media control system.
The large number of playful and entertaining interactions creates a strong emotional bond with the Läderach brand.
