Instead of a traditional banking event, private bank Julius Baer wanted to create an approachable, extraordinary experience for its private and business clients. Habegger therefore developed the “Open House” event concept: Guests were invited into a stylishly designed home-like setting where expert insights, personal encounters and culinary experiences came together.
The spatial concept brought the theme to life through different experiential spaces: The living room focused on personal interaction and a keynote speech, while the kitchen combined expert presentations with live cooking. In the dining room, presentations were paired with a wine tasting led by a sommelier. The office provided an appropriate setting for further presentations.
As a full-service partner, Habegger was responsible for the overall project management of the event: from the initial idea, venue search, scenography and event dramaturgy to show direction, operational management and technical execution. This required proactive planning, meticulous attention to detail and precise on-site execution.
The “Open House” took place at two locations in Geneva and Zurich, welcoming around 400 invited guests across four event days. In Geneva, a historic villa was completely transformed into the “Open House” experience, including furniture, decorations, integrated technology and real-time translation.
For the second edition at Haus am See in Zurich-Wollishofen, the existing event concept was adapted to the new venue, from the staging to the event schedule. Guests arrived by water taxi from Bürkliplatz, crossing Lake Zurich directly to the venue. A shared barbecue in the evening rounded off the event day.
