We proudly present: Our team growth

Habegger | 9 July 2025

In the first five months of 2025, we welcomed 12 new employees to Habegger. With a wide variety of backgrounds and from different departments, they enrich our team and bring a breath of fresh air and new ideas. We are proud to welcome such talented people to our team and actively shape the future of Habegger together with them. Together, we look forward to successfully realising exciting projects and continuing to grow as a strong team!

New faces, exciting stories

From international event experience to a passion for craftsmanship: our new colleagues not only bring professional expertise, but also personality, curiosity and plenty of enthusiasm.

We spoke to five of them – about their path to Habegger, their experiences and what drives them. Who are the people behind the projects? What motivates them – both professionally and privately?

From timber construction to the world of events

Dominik Birrer, Specialist Constructions

With his apprenticeship as a carpenter and experience as a project manager in timber construction, Dominik has practical expertise and management experience. Without an event background, but with a great deal of curiosity, he submitted a speculative application to Habegger – and has been part of the team since April. A lateral entry out of passion.

What appeals to him? The variety: stage construction, backdrops, exhibitions – and the interplay of all trades that creates impressive experiences in the shortest possible time. One night shift while setting up the ESC is particularly memorable for him: lots of team spirit, lots of fun – and an immediate sense of belonging.

In his private life, Dominik loves the water, sport and action – whether surfing, diving, snowboarding or volunteering with the fire brigade. Until now, he only knew events as a guest – now he helps to organise them.

From sociology to the show floor

Fiona von Burg, Project Assistant

Fiona is a classic career changer – with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and stints in insurance, catering and as a bar manager. But it soon became clear: she prefers to work with her hands, in the middle of the action. She entered the industry via a small event company – where she was the go-to girl, but soon realised that she really wanted to immerse herself in the project world.

She has been with Habegger since the beginning of 2025 – enthusiastic about the size of the projects, the high profile in the industry and the opportunity to really help shape things. Her highlight to date: the Art on Ice project, where she was able to experience live how organisation and teamwork can become a real event experience.

What does she love about the industry? The dynamics, the interplay of countless trades – and the passion with which everyone surpasses themselves.

From electrical installation to Formula 1

Nicos Steiger, Event Technician

Nicos has found his way from electrical engineering straight into the world of major international events. After his time as a service technician for electrical installations, a job advert immediately electrified him: event technician for Formula 1 at Habegger. For the passionate motorsport fan, it was clear that he had to seize this opportunity.

Today, Nicos is part of the Habegger F1 team and right at the centre of the international event scene. What particularly inspires him? The dynamism, the travelling, the immersion in new cultures – and the indescribable feeling of working together with a highly motivated team to bring event after event to a successful conclusion. Everyone pulls together – and in the end it works. That’s real passion that you can feel.

Nicos is also full of energy in his private life: Whether strength training, endurance sport or simply exercise – the main thing is to be active. At Habegger, he has not only found his profession, but also his vocation.

From touring pro to team leader at Habegger

Patrick Häberli, Team Leader Project Management

For over a decade, Patrick toured the world as a lighting technician, production manager and tour director – from Australia via California to Zhengzhou. His strengths: international productions, complex logistics and maximum process efficiency.

He and his family have settled in the Emmental. He gave up touring in favour of new development opportunities – but his passion for the industry remains. At Habegger, he finds international projects, a strong team and a comprehensive range of services under one roof.

As a team leader, he appreciates the teamwork, the broad expertise and the opportunity to develop people further. It is particularly motivating to see how much passion his team puts into their work.

What drives him is still the same today: planning ahead, finding solutions, getting the gears turning. Because, in live communication, only the moment counts and it has to be right.

From project fever to pole position

Sebastian Fischer, Project Manager

As a qualified environmental engineer with many years of experience in the events industry – including at PRG in Hamburg – he joined Habegger in February 2025 as a project manager in the Formula 1 team. International projects, technical expertise and close teamwork are exactly what convinced him.

Sebastian got to know Habegger through a recommendation. Despite other offers, he deliberately chose us because of the family atmosphere, the professional structure and the genuine team spirit. He particularly appreciates the dialogue within the team and the strong PM structure – especially in Formula 1, where work is carried out at the highest level.

The fascination for the event industry has remained to this day: new projects, new challenges and people who put their heart and soul into their work. In his private life, Sebastian enjoys working out outdoors: rowing, lacrosse, skiing – or the next (full) Ironman.

Do you want to become part of the Habegger family?

Our team will continue to broaden in the future, as we are always on the lookout for exceptional personalities for live communication.

Great Place to Work®

Every two years, Habegger takes a close look at its own working environment together with “Great Place to Work®”, with the aim of identifying optimisation potential in order to remain an attractive employer in the future, too. In 2024, we have once again received the award for an optimal working environment.
