We interviewed Stephan Meier, Head of Venue Service Development at Habegger, and gained exciting insights from our partner venues. From Bern to Zurich to Basel - we offer the right solution for every occasion.

Stephan Meier, Head of Venue Service Development

Stephan started in sales at Habegger in 2007 and has held numerous positions since then, making him an expert in supporting our partner venues. Today, he manages all Habegger employees in our five local partner venues, which we provide with technical support.

Our venues at a glance

  • Hallenstadion Zürich: Ideal for large concerts as well as general meetings and staff events, accommodating between 20 and 15,000 participants. The Hallenstadion is the largest indoor venue in Switzerland.
  • Kursaal Bern: Ideal for conferences with workshop facilities for groups of 6 to 1,240 people, all while enjoying a stunning view of Bern.
  • Lake Side: Ideal for smaller events such as Christmas dinners or business meetings with up to 200 people. The location directly on the lake creates a unique ambience.
  • Swiss Life Arena: Ideal for sponsoring events and sports occasions with an attendance ranging from 12 to 12,000 people. We accompany you at your event at the home of the ZSC Lions.
  • Volkshaus Basel: From exclusive meetings to concerts for 12 to 1,300 people. The Volkshaus Basel is adorned with impressive architecture and inspiring art.

What types of events are most frequently organised in the venues?

Our partner locations specialise in B2B events such as general meetings, product presentations and conferences. On the other hand, public events such as major concerts, shows or sporting events are regularly held at the venues. Habegger offers comprehensive technical support for these events as well as 360-degree project management and client care from A to Z.

What advantages do the partner venues offer our Habegger clients?

We know our venues inside out. With our technical installations in the event locations, we can cover any client requirements. With Habegger as a partner, we offer our clients simple project handling – our clients have just one contact partner: From the initial idea through planning and event management to realisation. However, individual modular services can also be utilised flexibly.

Our close co-operation with the venues and the Habegger teams on site makes planning easier. We offer customised solutions that meet the individual requirements of each project.

Are our partner venues also suitable for smaller events?

Yes, the large arena at the Hallenstadion, for example, can be divided up and used flexibly. The Hallenstadion also offers many smaller, separate rooms. In addition, venues such as the Lake Side, Kursaal Bern and Volkshaus Basel offer special packages that are also suitable for fewer event participants and smaller budgets.

Does sustainability play a role in the venues?

Sustainability certificates are a key issue that is becoming increasingly important in order to be able to fulfil legal requirements and operate in a CO2-neutral manner in the future. This is a decisive advantage for many companies, especially in the corporate sector, when planning and selecting their service providers. Habegger has set itself the goal of always being at the forefront here, including in our venues.
