New talents for Habegger

Habegger | 6 February 2023

Over the past two months, we have welcomed six new and familiar faces to Habegger, bringing a variety of new skills to the Event Technology, Venue Service, Construction, Project Management and Creation divisions. We’re pleased to have you on board with us!

Find out who Nicolas, Nina, Rafael, Anna Susanna, Ronnie and Daniel (f. l. t. r.) are. What fascinates them about live communication? What inspires them in their area of responsibility?

Welcome back

Hobby turned into a profession

Daniel Schmid | Venue Leader

Some of you may still know Daniel, he started his career 16 years ago at the Trafo Baden – from venue operator to team leader. Originally from Aargau, Daniel, who says that he has made his hobby to his profession, joined Megatron Veranstaltungstechnik in 2018. When he saw Habegger’s job advertisement in Trafo Baden last December, he knew immediately: I have to go back. He’s in his element when he can accompany clients along the entire customer journey in event organisation. He is fascinated with live communication, because no two events are the same, changes often come at the last minute. Having a plan B for everything, being flexible – that’s exactly his thing. Always true to the motto: the show must go on.

Back to the Habegger family

Nicolas Koller | Technician

For Nicolas, it’s like coming home; he successfully completed his apprenticeship as an event technician in summer 2021 and is now back after a spell with the military. “Habegger is like a second family to me,” says Nicolas. Work colleagues became friends, and the shared experiences are simply unforgettable. He also clearly remembers his first concert: Hans Zimmer. Until today he is still overwhelmed by Zimmer’s interaction with the orchestra. Why was Nicolas so keen to come back? For him, Habegger is an employer who supports him in his goals. He can grow together with the company. “Making the impossible possible” is what the sporty and travel-loving technician particularly likes about his job.

Welcome to Habegger

From Sweden to Switzerland

Anna Susanna Ahlmann | Project Coordinator

Born in Lund, Sweden, Anna has already lived in nine different cities. She studied hospitality management in Montreux and has gained experience in event and project management with various companies. In her private life, Anna loves sports: biking, jogging, skiing. Her favourite festival is the Amsterdam Dance Event – a music festival with international artists and visitors from all over the world. This is also the reason why our project coordinator really wanted to work in live communication: she loves bringing people together at events. “It is an indescribable feeling to create experiences and emotions in reality,” she adds. At Habegger, Anna is very much looking forward to learning everything from A-Z about corporate events and being able to work with the best of the best in the industry – since all services are united under one roof.

From laboratory to event

Nina Augustin | Producer

After her training as a chemical laboratory assistant and a few years of work experience at the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) in the field of explosives, Nina knew that her future did not lie in the laboratory. During her time out in Australia, she decided to study event management and event technology. This lateral entry was the best decision ever: “I’ve always wanted to work in a creative environment.” The producer loves the event industry – an industry that never sleeps, always surprises and reinvents itself. Nina describes her first days at Habegger with great enthusiasm. She felt very welcome, the onboarding was thoroughly professional and the team spirit could be felt in every department: “Everyone is fired up about their projects and skills.” 2023 will be an exciting year, with satellite events as well as extended reality and virtual production projects.

From freelancer to permanent position

Rafael Diefenbach | Technical Assistant

Rafael has been passionate about events, especially the technology, ever since high school. He regularly used to organise small parties with light and sound engineering. With a few detours along the way, the sports-mad technical assistant finally came to live communication. During his apprenticeship as a floorer, he often helped out his cousin Nathanael, Senior Expert Broadcast at Habegger. He quickly realised: “My dream job is event technician”. Rafael has been working for Habegger as a freelancer for the last seven months. He particularly appreciates the team, the cooperation and the structured tasks. “I get an incredible amount of enjoyment from my job,” he adds. No two events are the same, he says – even if the basic concept is the same, the approach always differs, for instance because of the location. It never gets boring. What’s he already looking forward to today? Experiencing a big production abroad – preferably a big sport event.

From Ikea to Habegger

Ronnie Dbaly | Expert Construction

The trained interior decorator, who specialises in historical craftsmanship, worked in the furniture industry for a long time, planning and implementing showrooms at Ikea. Ronnie also spent several years working in exhibition construction as a CAD draughtsman. However, thanks to his expertise, he quickly took on the role of site manager. In his leisure time he is often out and about in nature, and he is passionate about cooking. Next stop, the event industry. Ronnie is particularly impressed with how Habegger handled the challenges of the Covid pandemic: “Over the last two years, the company has both acted and reacted, and is more broadly-based than ever before.” Due to the wide range of services and the variety of projects, he already knows that he can develop professionally. The construction expert is particularly looking forward to being able to inspire clients with his projects.

This is how our new employees describe us – thanks for the flowers.
