As part of a national roadshow, from the autumn of 2021 visitors to various Coop shopping centres will enter the magical world of Harry Potter. A talking magic hat and an exciting game of Quidditch are just two of the ten thrilling attractions on offer. Habegger was commissioned with creating the exhibits on behalf of the well-known retail firm.
The complex, partially interactive exhibits required the seamless interaction of technical and structural components. In addition to green screen technology, other techniques used included mechanical designs. To keep the exhibits as mobile and as easy to handle as possible despite their complexity, we constructed components up to four metres long from lightweight building board. We always used the design specifications drawn up by Coop Immobilien in collaboration with Warner Bros. Entertainment as our guide. These formed the basis for the roadshow exhibits.
The roadshow has been a complete success so far! We can tell this not just from the many bright, shining eyes of the children, but also from the significant increase in the number of visitors to the shopping centres.
