For Holzbau Schweiz, we were responsible for the trade fair presence at Swiss Skills 2025 at BERNEXPO. The national skills championships attracted around 120,000 visitors, including more than 65,000 pupils and students. As the association representing Swiss timber construction, the aim was not only to be present, but to inspire young people to pursue the diverse training and career pathways within the carpentry and timber construction profession.
We took charge of the concept development, planning and realisation of the entire presence, with a strong focus on visibility, interaction and the promotion of young talent.
Storytelling
Together with Holzbau Schweiz and our suppliers, we developed an experiential format that placed the innovative strength and future viability of timber construction at its core. A dramaturgically guided visitor journey, a stamp card as a playful incentive, and a combination of analogue and interactive learning stations made the profession tangible and accessible. Through targeted storytelling, we created a clear connection between craftsmanship, technology and sustainable development – communicated in a way that was understandable, inspiring and relevant, particularly for a young audience.
Services & Technology
We delivered the stand construction, implemented modern lighting and video technology, and created a clearly structured experience zone. Precise lighting design and media technology were used to stage the content in an attention-grabbing way, translating complex topics into immediately understandable visual experiences. The stand featured more than 10 tonnes of wood and several thousand screws. The various areas provided target-group-specific information on training and career opportunities in timber construction.
Brand Experience
By combining hands-on interaction with digital storytelling, we worked closely with our client to create an immersive brand experience, while efficient processes ensured smooth operation throughout Swiss Skills. Visitors became part of a story that intelligently connected technology, emotion and brand messaging. Particularly successful were the high level of engagement at the stand, the strong resonance among young people, and the positive perception within professional circles. What began as a classic trade fair presence evolved into an experience with long-term impact.
