Since 2012, Habegger has been putting the stars of the international athletics scene in the spotlight at the Wanda Diamond League at Weltklasse Zürich. What began with the provision of lighting and audio technology for the pole vault competition at Zurich Central Station has grown steadily over the years. As the technical partner of one of the world’s most prestigious athletics meetings, we are now responsible for all lighting and audio technology in the hospitality zone, at the finals on Sechseläutenplatz and at the closing ceremony in the Letzigrund Stadium. At Sechseläutenplatz, we are also responsible for the complex power supply. Since 2024, we have also been responsible for the in-house TV for Weltklasse Zurich, including various interviews and sign language interpretation. In addition, we are implementing the broadcast of the UBS Kids Cup final. The junior competition takes place two days after the Wanda Diamond League at the Letzigrund Stadium.
In the hospitality zone alone, we provide perfect lighting and sound conditions across approximately 7,000 square metres of tent space. At the closing ceremony in the past, we have created a breathtaking atmosphere with 300 battery-powered lamps controlled via Wi-Fi, projections on special constructions, and dancers performing in a live show staged by Habegger. The event, with its various sub-projects, requires excellent work preparation and good cooperation with all partners.
