The Habegger team is growing

Habegger | 5 June 2023

We always look for new talents and are delighted to have welcomed eight new faces from Project Management, Venue Service, IT, Project Support and Marketing on board the Habegger family in the last four months. Since the beginning of the year, this represents a 8% growth in staff.

What made them decide to look for their professional future at Habegger? We took a look back at their first few weeks. Get to know our new employees.

We proudly present

Andreas Hess | Crew Booker

Born in Wädenswil, he worked for a long time as a personnel planner for a piano manufacturing company before he became aware of Habegger. His sister had sent him a WhatsApp with the job advertisement à la “Wouldn’t that be something for you?” and so everything took its course. From the very first moment, it was a good fit: The reception was personal, the interview very pleasant, getting to know the team rounded it off. Andreas hit the ground running and was able to immerse himself in the world of live communication as support at a corporate event: “This allowed me to get to know many colleagues and freelancers personally right away.” In his free time, the sporty crew booker is involved as a singer and guitarist in a band. In winter, he likes to spend his time snowboarding in the mountains.

André Schroff | Venue Service Operator Swiss Life Arena

André has had a fascination for live communication for a long time – especially for the staging of light. The trained electrician has been working for the volunteer fire department in Küsnacht for 14 years and loves to ride through Switzerland on his motorbike: “It’s a feeling of freedom”. Before joining Habegger, the Venue Service Operator worked for seven years as a lighting technician at the impressive Zurich Opera House. He found his desire for a new challenge in the diverse Habegger event locations. André works at the Swiss Life Arena as well as the Hallenstadion Zurich, the Trafo Baden and the Lake Side Zurich. He remembers his first weeks with a sense of goodwill. “You can feel the helpfulness and the team spirit from the very first second.”

Arno Fallet | Project Manager

From Graubünden via Australia to Zurich: After his gap year in Down Under, Arno started studying law in Zurich and quickly realised that this subject was too dry for him. Without further ado, he enrolled in Marketing and Communication. Events have always fascinated him. After his internship at Aroma, he was taken on as project manager. In his professional career, Arno enthusiastically managed major projects for a total of seven years. With the change to Habegger, the sociable man of pleasure has remained true to his passion. The Project Manager loves the people business, clients contact and creating experiences. “At Habegger, everything is under one roof.” He is already looking forward to the internal Christmas party in particular, because he has been told that these are legendary.

Fabia Meloni | Product Manager Live-Kommunikation

As a native of Regensdorf, Habegger is a home game for the communicative product manager. She completed her training in photography and web development and now brings over 20 years of sales and marketing experience from the field of consulting and project management. In her free time, Fabia can often be found with her camera. She is also involved in the voluntary fire department, where she pursues her hobby of flying drones. She knows live communication from networking events or privately from the Openair Gampel in the Valais. For Fabia, the onboarding was only a few days ago: “It was a very cool, well-structured and warm welcome.” Fabia is now looking forward to her new challenge of building up and helping to shape product management.

Fabian Meyer | Project Leader

Fabian has turned his hobby into his profession: “Event technology is a passion for me”. In his free time, he likes to work on his jukebox or enthusiastically cook for friends and family with his pasta machine. The Project Leader has experienced a lot in the past years: He was First Light Operator on the cruise ship AIDA and acted as Venue Operator in the Samsung Hall. Most recently, he was a project leader for international events at Encore. “I am now delighted to be part of the wonderful Habegger team“. His start? He was allowed to start into his new position as Project Leader at full throttle. Since February, he has been involved in everything: from an international roadshow to the General Assembly.

Joe Santschi | IT System Engineer

Joe entered the IT world almost ten years ago after studying business administration and feels right at home with digitalisation. He is also enthusiastic about new technologies in his private life, and his new flat is equipped with a smart home. What Joe particularly appreciates about his challenge at Habegger is the interdisciplinary work. For example, working on AV/VR projects with Creation and Event Technology, where he takes care of special hardware procurement. Joe was able to get involved in many projects straight away and is very pleased that decision-making paths are short and the company is open to new things. “The monthly Last Thursday Apéro is also a great benefit and helps to make new contacts within the company,” he adds.

Vera Germann | Project Coordinator

Vera has been travelling the world for over 30 years: from Belgium to the Czech Republic to Egypt. After almost ten years in the North African country, the nature-loving event expert has arrived in Switzerland. She definitely feels at home in the corporate event world – whether on the agency side, in the hotel industry or in live communication. Before the animal lover joined Habegger as Project Coordinator, she worked at the Kulm Hotel in St. Moritz. Vera loves the whole package of the event industry: people, experiences, emotions and the unpredictable – it always remains exciting, there are always new challenges. “Onsite productions are my best thrill,” she adds with a smile.

This is Habegger

In the interview, all new members were asked: Describe Habegger in three words. We say thank you for the flowers and are very happy to have you in the Habegger team.
