BKW Engineering is an association of around 50 engineering, architecture, assessment and testing companies from the DACH region. At this year’s BKW Engineering Event, the network was celebrated in an innovative way. Due to the Corona situation, Habegger was commissioned to adapt an existing event concept.
Instead of the originally planned physical event in Germany, a digital format was to be developed that would be streamed from Switzerland and would be just as captivating as if the audience were on site. When developing the entertaining and informative event, we were inspired by successful late-night shows. Thus a unique 200 m2 TV studio was designed and built especially for the BKW Engineering Event.
Comedienne Hazel Brugger hosted the event and welcomed the studio guests, which included BKW Engineering CEO Michael Schüepp and Oliver Kahn. 2,200 spectators were connected live and were able to follow the action on the screen. As a special highlight, the virtual guests were offered 3D sound via the headphones, giving them a unique spatial experience.
Beforehand, we produced various teasers for the innovative studio event and sent out 2,200 goody bags to the digital participants from the DACH region, with items in line with the supporting programme. The BKW Engineering Event is an occasion that also represents an important milestone for Habegger, due to its size and the challenges mastered in the field of digital events.
