The White Turf is an exclusive horse racing event that has been held annually on the frozen lake of St. Moritz since 1907. On three weekends in February, international jockeys compete with their thoroughbred horses on the prepared racecourse. The setting is a 130,000m2 event area with upscale catering and musical entertainment. This unique event in the Engadine mountains attracts around 30,000 visitors every year.
Since 2023, we were responsible for the host broadcasting at White Turf. The racing action was produced with seven cameras and transmitted via DVB-T transmitter to various screens and LED walls in the audience, hospitality and VIP areas. Exciting scenes were made available to the audience immediately afterwards by means of slow-motion replays. Via livestream, the races were broadcast on the internet for worldwide betting shops and interested horse lovers.
In addition to the live operation on all weekends, we produced two highlight clips with our in-house staff in post-production, which captured the best moments of the Family Days and the Race Days and can be used for promotion and marketing purposes.
